Maya Entertainment Ltd was conceived in 1996 by Ketan Mehta, the internationally renowned film producer-director and recipient of several national and international awards for his innovative and popular films like Bhavani Bhavai, Holi, Mirch Masala, Maya Memsaab, Sardar etc. and Deepa Sahi the internationally acclaimed film actress who has acted in artistic and popular films like Tamas, Maya Memsaab and Hum. MEL was formed with the specific propose of providing the latest digital technology tools for excellence in films, television and audio-visual media and create quality content for the infotainment industry worldwide.
 
Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics
The Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics was founded in 2001 as an education division to complement MEL. MAAC provides multiple courses and related training in the areas of
